There are questions we ask out loud.
And then there are questions we carry in silence.
The first are easy.
The second… are the ones that shape our lives.
When it comes to the Bible, many people have been taught what to believe, what to accept, and—perhaps most importantly—what not to question.
But what if that approach has caused us to miss something?
Not truth.
But depth.
The people closest to God were not passive observers.
They were seekers.
They wrestled.
They asked.
They searched.
And sometimes… they stood in the presence of mystery and refused to turn away.
So let me ask you something—not casually, but seriously:
What if the Bible is not smaller than we think… but far greater than we have allowed ourselves to see?
What if the pages we have read for years are not shallow waters—but the surface of an ocean we have barely begun to explore?
Because scattered throughout Scripture are moments that don’t neatly fit into simple explanations.
Moments that hint at something deeper.
A conversation in heaven before the world was formed.
A serpent who speaks with intelligence and intent.
References to beings, realms, and events that seem to exist just beyond the edges of our understanding.
Ancient writings mentioned—but not included.
Visions that leave even the prophets searching for words.
And through it all, a story unfolding that feels… bigger than we expected.
Not confusing.
But layered.
Not contradictory.
But profound.
So here is the question that begins this journey:
What if the Bible is inviting us to think more deeply than we have been taught?
Not to abandon faith.
But to engage it.
Not to question truth.
But to pursue it more fully.
Because throughout history, the greatest discoveries have not come from those who refused to ask questions…
…but from those who were willing to follow them.
The 10 Questions That Open the Door.
Over the next several weeks, we will explore ten “What If” questions—each one designed not to tear down belief, but to expand understanding.
Not speculation for its own sake.
But thoughtful exploration rooted in Scripture, history, and honest reflection.
Here are the questions that will guide our journey:
1. What If There Is More to the Unseen Realm Than We Realize?
Scripture speaks often of angels, spiritual beings, and heavenly places.
But what if these are not distant ideas—but active realities?
2. What If the Bible Mentions Books We No Longer Have?
Why does Scripture reference writings that are not included in the Bible?
And what does that mean for how we understand its world?
3. What If Enoch Saw Something We Have Forgotten?
Why does the New Testament reference Enoch?
And what might his visions reveal about the spiritual world?

What if the story of rebellion did not start in the Garden—but earlier?

Why This Matters:
This journey is not about chasing strange ideas.
It is not about replacing truth with speculation.
It is about something far more important.
It is about learning to think deeply about the Word of God.
Because faith that avoids questions can remain shallow.
But faith that engages them becomes anchored.
Grounded.
Unshakable.
And in a world filled with noise, confusion, and competing voices, that kind of faith matters more than ever.

So here is my invitation to you.
Not as a teacher speaking to a crowd.
But as someone who has walked through questions… and found that they often lead somewhere meaningful.
Come explore these questions with me.
Not carelessly.
Not critically.
But thoughtfully.

One Question Before We Begin
Before we dive into the first of these ten questions next week, I want to ask you something:
What is one question about the Bible you have never felt comfortable asking out loud?
